Answers:

1. "A, C". Fragment-free switching looks at the first 64 bytes of the frame before forwarding it. This is because most frame errors occur in that part of the frame.

This allows for limited error checking - which is better than none!

2. "B". Cut-through switching is very fast, but that speed comes at a cost .... no error detection.

3. "C". Store-and-forward switching checks the entire frame for corruption before forwarding it.

4. "C". Only hosts in the same VLAN will receive that broadcast.

5. spanning-tree vlan 23 root primary

6. "A,C". The resulting advertisements (and non-advertisement) of the new VLAN isn't the same, but you can create a VLAN in either Server or Transparent mode.

7. "B,C". The native VLAN is by default VLAN 1, but ISL doesn't understand it as such.. only IEEE 802.1q ("dot1q") does.
