Answers:

1. End users interact with the network at the topmost layer of the OSI model - the Application layer.

2. The managing layer of the OSI model is the Session layer.

3. SSL uses TCP port 443.

4. Data is still in the form of "data" at the Application, Presentation, and Session layers.

5. Watch this one - "physical addresses" are not found at the Physical layer; rather, they're in use at the Data Link layer. It's another name for a MAC address. It's referred to as a physical address since it physically exists on the network card.

6. Data takes the form of segments at the Transport layer.

7. DHCP runs on UDP.

8. "D". UDP offers neither error detection nor error recovery.

9. You'll use IP addresses at the Network layer.

10. "A,B". Both TCP and CHAP use a three-way handshake. You can see the CHAP handshake in action with either debug chap authentication or debug chap negotiation. (It's easier to see with the first command, as the second gives you a LOT of information.)
